The home sales slump in the U.S. continues: Last month was the slowest May for existing home sales since 2009.
Home sales just posted their slowest May in 16 years
There are 20% more homes for sale this May — but it hasn't been enough to pull buyers off the sidelines amid high mortgage rates and economic uncertainty.

APOLLO: “It’s been nearly two weeks since the China/US trade deal, but container traffic from China to the US hasn’t shown a strong rebound. .. Are 30% tariffs on China still too high? Or are US companies simply waiting to see if tariffs will drop further before ramping up shipments?”

WALMART CFO: The tariffs are "more than any retailer can absorb. It’s more than any supplier can absorb. And so I’m concerned that consumer is going to start seeing higher prices. You’ll begin to see that, likely towards the tail end of this month, and then certainly much more in June.”

Is the whole DOGE chaos thing just posturing for the upcoming budget brawl in Congress?

Attacking USAID / Education / NIH / etc. as corrupt knowing that they can only block those funds temporarily.

Then use that frame to give the GOP Congress cover to slash those programs in the budget.

year 1 after Portland's fourplex legalization: 1% of new housing citywide
year 2: 7%
year 3: ***26%***

Some things take some time to pay off.
