Can we get a show with Mark Ruffalo just being cute and having a good day? I worry for that man. #Task

To be fair I’ve just always assumed jimmy was a moron
Jimmy Fallon joked and laughed his way through a “Tonight Show” interview with Fox News late-night rival Greg Gutfeld, who recently tried to reclaim the word “Nazi” as his own.

The interview was Gutfeld’s first appearance on a network late-night program.

Americans are relearning the lesson we learned during the Gilded Age of the late 1890s, when robber barons ran the government and the economy for their own benefit: Oligarchy is incompatible with the common good.

I'm hopeful we'll respond with a new progressive movement.

I’ve heard accounts of Mamet’s worsening senility which is important to note, but also, men need to toughen the fuck up. Switching your entire political ideology over a professional slight is so embarrassing I can’t believe how many dudes are willing to admit it openly.
and here's David Mamet revealing that getting snubbed by Terry Gross is what radicalized him into conservatism

The mass starvation & killing of Palestinians in Gaza at the hands of the Israeli gov’t is a chillul hashem, a desecration of God.

Jewish leaders who criticized Zohran Mamdani for three words he doesn’t use should raise their voices loudly here as well.

Gaza is starving. Where are the American Jewish leaders?
A fear of being labelled antisemitic still deters American Jews and Jewish institutions from taking a position that is morally correct.

Evers is a smart, stand up guy and I hope he gets to enjoy some of the spoils of the state he helped pull back from the brink.

If you pull a “this isn’t what I voted for” - whatever, but that doesn’t excuse a lack of critical thinking. Just saying you didn’t vote for something isn’t the end of the statement. If you’re not actively investigating what you thought you were voting and how you were “duped” I’m not interested.

Standing in the loooong security line at the airport, while a CLEAR rep starts laughing to a TSA agent about a passenger who was upset for being pushed further back to accommodate their customers. “Hey man, I’m still getting paid”. Cool vibe. #airport #clear #clearisascam

I don't mean to sound hysterical but there are some pretty clear historical examples of "force the urban-dwellers to the farms," and none of them are great.
Brooke Rollins on farm laborers: "There will be no amnesty. The mass deportations continue, but in a strategic way. And we move the workforce toward automation and 100% American participation, which with 34 million able-bodied on Medicaid we should be able to do fairly quickly."

I thought the Mamdani-Lander cross endorsement was inspiring on its face but seeing already how Mamdani showed up to protest Lander’s bs arrest and now Lander is speaking out against the panic-mongering even within his own party…wow it’s like politics can have actual principles.
Lander: "It's just gross, racist bigotry. Meanwhile he's running an optimistic, upbeat campaign for a NY where everybody belongs, and I feel proud as the highest-ranking Jewish elected official in NYC to be supporting somebody who would be the first Muslim mayor—what could be more NYC than that?"

If a pregnant woman is brain dead, in a coma, and no longer has rights to make decisions about the pregnancy according to E. Bruenig, that means we don’t have a say in what happens to our organs and corpses after we die. We are public property upon death. Quite an argument!
