Hi! In case we don’t know each other yet: I’m Kat. I am a queer enby from/in Denmark, who’s named their dog after Chewbacca. I’m a manager of a team of tech writers at Epic Games. I post moodboards and read romance novels, and Kaidan Alenko will forever be my space husband.

That one time it happened, I had to mute the shit out of it and out away my phone.

Three years later, someone sent me a reel that had a screenshot of it. Still out there. I can’t deal with that kind of presence.
who the fuck WANTS their posts to go viral, have you ever had that actually happen? it's like getting a winning pull on a slot machine if wasps started pouring out the bottom instead of quarters

Saw my first ever hockey game today. At the actual arena. I’ve only ever seen clips and reels before.

I get it, guys. I’m in.

Ding! It’s my birthday, and I have officially reached the age where I’m ecstatic that I got new cutting boards, a bread knife, and this mug that sums up my current personality perfectly.

Fucking incredible dystopian shit, comparing super rich people risking millions if not billions of lives just to make more money to people that risked their life actually building incredible things that would then make millions of dollars for super rich people.

This.

We call it the festival of hearts and lights. It’s about bringing each other through.
We use live candles to count through the days. We hang garlands of lights in our towns.

We get together to make and ear comfort food and to craft. It’s about community.
The light in the darkness is inclusive: Jul is knowing that you've made it through the darkest time of year and a celebration of community.

You gather throughout the month to craft and bake together. You light candles to combat the darkness. You sing communal songs about cheer and joy.

this kid is going places. "english folklore" has the same syllables and stress pattern as "motherfucker", not to mention "folk" does the same labial-dental-fricative-to-velar-plosive thing that "fuck" does, and "lore" neatly takes the place of "-er."
My 7 year old just reached for a piece of pizza fresh out of the oven and exclaimed, in the same tone as an adult swearing…

“English folklore, that’s hot!”

I choked laughing ENGLISH FOLKLORE AS A SWEAR? WHO ARE YOU?!?

We should absolutely see this as a betrayal, and we should vote and act accordingly. @ec.europa.eu has to be held accountable for selling out Europe - and the world at large through it.

I’m going to my first ever hockey match in December, and I am so excited!

I’ve gotten into the game the past few years after reading hockey romances and going “holy shit, this game is cool!” and catching glimpses of games while in Canada last year (because ofc).

And now a friend is bringing me.

One of my favorite things about sharing this talk with friends and industry colleagues is how many crafters have 👀 my sweater and told me they can tell it’s handmade because of how well it fits me. Thanks my dudes, I made that 😌
Point of view: you’ve chosen to attend my talk about moving from being an individual contributor into a manager role, hoping to learn a few tips.

This is the second slide.
