Many transcriptome regions are translated but not known to encode proteins. They remain poorly annotated and thus under studied, partly due to the lack of terminology for these features.

Back to the roots. Literally. It's been a while since my days of working on plant riboswitches with Breaker people. I kind of missed the combination of a dirty bench and RNA work. This time, we want their ribosomes for a crazy idea. #RNA

After recent visits to the Munich RNAmed Day and Tampere(FIN) RNA Club, I was happy to return to Heidelberg for their #RNA Translation Club Retreat. Fun fact: For me, first time all my 3 TAC members (Georg Stoecklin, Bernd Bukau, Matthias Hentze) were in one room since my PhD defense. Fun times! ;)
