remember that word gap narratives and ideologies don’t just frame marginalised children as linguistically deficient but also point the finger at their parents for their allegedly inferior parenting skills. the stigma attached to the word gap is intergenerational.

Kennedy provides a bunch of references for his claim that thimerosal in vaccines (barely used anymore) is harmful.

If a high-school student submitted this as their reference list, they would fail.

In my opinion, Trump's shift on this issue ("stop raiding farms and hotels") demonstrates the US needs to have an honest conversation about the role of undocumented immigrants in this country. And who constitutes this population. I'm afraid the rhetoric has already poisoned the well.

Updated Preprint: We added 5 high-profile psycholinguistic journals to the sample. Numbers stay the same and are now based on >85k statistical tests in >13k articles across 13 different experimental linguistic journals.
