Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

Rewatching the first season of MONARCH with @kateatherley.bsky.social -- who can be monster-agnostic -- and it really holds up. Smart plotting, solid performances, and all the mythology stuff is grounded in themes of family and loyalty. Just hoping Jess Salgueiro comes back in the second season.

Next up as we introduce each of our books: MATH FOR KNITTERS, by @kateatherley.bsky.social. It's a bestseller both in the it-made-the-Globe-bestseller-list way and also because it is, far and away, our best selling book to date ❤️

We have a water glass with the Letterkenny logo on it. I've always avoided using that one when I'm teaching online classes, it seemed a bit silly. However, I think it's suddenly become my favourite. #iykyk

These look fantastic!
I'm on the lining of the 2nd mitten from @kateatherley.bsky.social's Toasty Mittens & Hat Set. (Did I finish them in time for Whitehorse? No, I did not.) using some JDMS Mohonk from the stash + Fyberspates Cumulus. So cozy I may have to go back north just to wear them www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

PSA: You don’t owe anyone an explanation about the health reasons why you are wearing a mask.

Badgering others about the tools they need to survive is stigmatizing and ableist, and should have no place in decent society.

Toronto friends: looking for a recommendation for a really good egg roll, ideally downtown east/east-end. No, not spring rolls. Egg rolls. They are surprisingly hard to find these days, other than mall food courts apparently. Ideas gratefully received! Thank you!
