I just rewatched the Bojack video, and dear lord, it's one of the best videos on subs, dubs, & translation out there. You get a 101 course, along with detailed analysis, and plenty of elaboration that treats its audience respectfully regardless of your Japanese ability. youtu.be/p3mXrC4sv1Y?...

Google Maps is good for finding your way around Tokyo a lot of the time, but be wary when seeking bus stops. Today was the 2nd time it's sent me somewhere imaginary, meaning I will need to postpone a city hall visit until Monday.

We're fighting a loss of creatives entering our field right now, & Jenn's site helps bring them in & get started (to say the least of what she's written on translation). It shouldn't be allowed to just disappear. If you have solutions, reach out.
J-En Translations and Japanese Talk Online are probably going to get shut down. Hosting costs £288 for one year and I don't have the money in my UK account to cover it and don't have the time or energy so sort it out. It's been such a constant anxiety that I haven't written anything for 6 months.

There are a number of games where "clear" is the legacy or preferred term that gets used, but as much as possible, this is something game editors should push back on. If you can get a different term on the books, it's worth doing so.
You don’t clear a mission. You don’t clear a quest. Consider “complete”, “finish”, “deliver”, or anything that works better in natural speech in the context.

I read Breon Mitchell's translation of The Trial by Kafka a little while back, and in the preface from the author, I think something was expressed that all of us feel about some projects:
