She/her. A lawyer, not your lawyer, fighting fraud/waste/abuse in healthcare.

Oxford comma militant.

Childless cat lady.

Restoring my 1880s Victorian is my self care. I’m not allowed to watch HGTV unsupervised.
My baby sister is a school psychologist and this just punched me in the gut.

After news of one of the countless shootings broke, I bought her one of those wedges that could be used to jam a door shut. Her office isn’t a classroom and so is not a lock-down door.
My belief now is that my job is to get shot and try to buy my kids’ some time. Welcome to teaching.

A survivor of the Parkland high school massacre being interviewed about surviving the Brown University shooting is a damning indictment of this country.

Sick in a Hospital Town, Part 1: The Business of Care

In South Minneapolis, Minnesota, nearly two dozen neighbors confronted and surrounded ICE goons after rapid-response alerts were issued. The goons were questioning an East African man when the situation escalated, and they eventually left the area without making any arrests.

I can’t believe I have to be mad at Pantone now. Like, is there even a single company a girl can be apathetic about… if I happen to remember they exist at all?!

VOTE FOR THE CANDIDATE THAT WILL WORK TO EARN YOUR VOTE

Tomorrow is election day, TN-7, and I'm humbly asking for your vote. I promise to be accessible and only beholden to the voters of the district, never donors or special interests. Polls open at 7 AM & close at 7 PM. Let's go out and win this!

I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Three things about the Witkoff tapes:

1) It appears Western intelligence services have decided to let Witkoff (and Trump) know they have recordings of their traitorous conversations w/Russia.

2) This Ukraine "deal" was all Witkoff's idea.

3) Congressional leaders should demand he be fired.

Reclassification targeting what are largely female-dominated fields
The DoE has reclassified numerous health professional and other degrees, limiting access to federal student loan programs eligible for the higher OBBBA loan caps from thousands to a few hundred.

As ALWAYS, this is about $$.

We're about to become REALLY "great"...

Travel has been a nightmare, extroverting has been exhausting. I’m in my hotel room nearly crying from exhaustion. I literally don’t know if I’ll be getting home by plane, train, or automobile tomorrow.

But, coincidentally, I have the honor of being in DC the day the sandwich thrower was acquitted!
