This time last year, I was on the South Lawn of the White House helping to lay out the AIDS Memorial Quilt.
This year the White House did nothing and the State Department instructed empoyees and grant recipients to “refrain from publicly promoting World Aids Day through any communication channels”
This morning I had the honor of helping lay out some panels of the #AIDS Memorial Quilt on the South Lawn of the White House. Seeing all these individual lives that were lost and knowing they are just a miniscule part of that great tapestry of loss is haunting.

Above all, don’t be like Durbin and tell people they don’t understand! Say “You’re mad as hell and you should be. There’s no excuse for Congress ripping away your healthcare like we did. But we can’t fix it without a handful of Republicans deciding to obey either their oaths or their consciences.”

Yes I'm sure those MAGA people are so nice. To people they consider people. Like the people who supported any number of genocidal authoritarian regimes throughout history. They love their kids & are hard working. Blah blah blah.

That theory is wildly wrong (a VP candidate has to be eligible to become president) but why are you tossing him suggestions for how he can violate the Constitution?

Who asked this? Is this what we can expect from the new and improved White House press corps?
Q: One theory on how you might try to serve a 3rd term is that you could run at the vice president

TRUMP: Yeah, I'd be allowed to do that. But I would rule that out because it's too cute.

"It is late to get organized, but not too late."

This article is prescient and beautifully written - and it warned us nearly a decade ago of exactly what is happening in our late-stage boiled frog information ecosystem right now. Well worth your time.
I wrote this just after the 2016 election when I was newly arrived from India. "Some media owners, already ensconced, will tack to the prevailing wind. Gently at first, so you hardly notice it. Completely in the end."
