As it often the case when I am in Germany, the topic of (painful) train travel came up, and in particular: is it quicker to go North↔South than East↔West? Me being me, I wondered if I could answer this with data: geo.houseofmoran.io/posts/2025-1...

Exciting news! My new role at Jetbrains is Head of Python Ecosystem.

That means I’ll be driving strategy for our products aimed at #Python developers, including #PyCharm. It’s going to be a fun but tough role, and we have exciting things in store :)

The Home Secretary’s sweeping new immigration plans have been praised by Tommy Robinson and Nigel Farage.

We can't accept a system that exposes people to hostility and hatred.

In 2022 Russia lied about its intentions and useful idiots world wide blamed the West for stoking unjustified fears. Immediately after the start of the full-scale invasion, those same idiots told everyone that it had been inevitable because NATO etc
Putin said earlier this week that Russia has no plans to invade Europe. I had a deja vu moment when I was listening to his crap:

The PSF have turned down a large grant because it came with the criteria that they could not do DEI work. Bravo!

It's the right decision, but it leaves the PSF financially weakened. If you or your organisation can step up, now is the time to do so!

GoLand's Productivity Guide shows that I haven't really been using the features of my IDE at all! I think in a real-world project I'd be using a combination of Junie for the boring stuff and hand coding the interesting pieces.
