The school run is the #1 source of school carbon emissions, outweighing heating and electricity, according to a new report from Eco Schools and @keepbritaintidy.bsky.social 💨🌿

Walking and wheeling to school reduces pollution and cuts down on chaos at the school gates - it's a win-win!

The Union Canal being a Sky Mirror this morning. I loved the roofs at the very end just catching the rising sun, while everything else is in shade.

Local Heron action. Every neighbourhood should have one! The Union Canal is a huge green asset to Fountainbridge.
I met a heron at Leamington Lift Bridge this morning. It's obviously used to people and was just wandering about as joggers ran by. #Edinburgh.

Bus diversion services 10 and 27 - more details on this decision from @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social :
We agree it's not ideal. The council had to make some difficult choices. Here is the response from the Council’s Roads Asset Management team:

Insightful, upsetting and frankly not surprising to see data on vehicles speeding near schools. Our residents have been saying this for decades...
🚨 Shocking Stats on Speeding Near Edinburgh Schools! 🚨

I’ve been exploring this fascinating tool: speeding.hasp.ac.uk

It uses GPS data to show how often goods vehicles are speeding in Edinburgh (and beyond). The results? Honestly worrying.
