I’ve been consistent in my opposition to allowing PHVs into bus lanes. I do however think it is worth exploring allowing PHVs and Black Cabs access through certain bus gates if the data and evidence proves it can aid city mobility.

I popped out to Riccarton Mains Road this afternoon to check on the resurfacing progress. We are two weeks into a six week program and things are starting to take shape. Thankfully the crater like set of potholes at the end of Weaver’s Knowe Crescent are also being tackled as part of this work.

It was brilliant to be part of this event yesterday. Thanks to all our partners and of course the fantastic young adults who made this year’s event the best ever!
Over 3,000 pupils from 30 schools across the Capital are attending Young Driver 2025 this week!

With everything from mock courts through to virtual reality and driving simulators, this annual event encourages the next generation of Edinburgh's drivers to be safe and responsible.

Another important milestone was reached this week on North Bridge. The time capsule will be opened in 2055 and I’m sure the brush I used to paint a small part of it will raise a few eyebrows.
