Les Larmes de Dieu Texte off: Il y a quelques années, j'avais été invité à une dégustation de vin On voit Boulet un verre à la main, un vigneron qui renifle le sien, et Tetsuo de la BD Akira (la légende dit: je sais plus qui, disons que c'était Tetsuo pour préserver son anonymat). Texte off: Alors dans ces trucs, le gars essaie de t'encourager, de te faire trouver toi-même les réponses... Le vigneron: Alors... Quelle est la première chose qui vous frappe ? Tetsuo (intense et grave): Mhh il est frais... Avec des notes minérales. Boulet est perplexe. Dans une bulle, son cerveau lui dit: "Après analyse poussée, nous pensons qu'il a un goût de vin." Le vigneron (off): "Oui, très minéral, mais encore ?" Boulet lève son verre pour le regarder, dubitatif. "Après examen minutieux du verre, je dirais 'vin blanc'. Je propose qu'on bluffe." Boulet (devant Tetsuo estomaqué): "Je sens une note de fruit, si je ne me trompe pas ?" Le vigneron: "Oui ! Bravo ! Elle est discrète, mais il y a une note fruitée très reconnaissable !" Boulet (fanfaronnant): "Haha il me semblait bien, en effet !" (En arrière plan, Tetsuo gonfle et se déforme) texte off: Tetsuo jaloux de la finesse de mon palais Le vigneron: "Mais la question est: quel fruit ?" Boulet (transpirant abondamment de gêne): "Mhh... Voyons cela." Boulet (in petto): "Merde merde merde réfléchis. Fouille le palais de ta mémoire sensorielle !" On voit le palais de la mémoire sensoriel: c'est une sorte d'immense dépotoir malodorant avec des colonnes doriques. Boulet: "Oh boy." Boulet: "Alors... Je cherche ce vague soupçon de fruit..." Boulet fouille dans un gros sac de fruits : "Je suis nul pour les goûts... Je retiens rien, c'est quoi la différence de goût entre une myrtille et une mûre, bordel " Boulet est dans le sac de fruit jusqu'à la taille, tête la première: "Ça c'est quoi ? Ça dit juste "parfum" et ça sent la fleur. Pourquoi il y a 'malabar' dans les fruits ?" Boulet est dans une scène de son enfance et se voit lui-même petit. Il pense: "Concentre-toi... Ça t'évoque quoi, spontanéement ? L'enfance... La campagne..." Boulet se voit enfant manger des groseilles. "Les groseilles du jardin ? Non... Un truc qu'on achetait. Du melon ? Du lichee ?" Boulet enfant approche d'un saladier de fruit dans lequel une absence brille. Il tend la main vers un point d'interrogation. "C'est LÀ, sur la table de la cuisine... Je le sens presque ! Tends la main et..." Boulet lève son verre triomphalement. Tetsuo n'est plus qu'un gros blob-bébé dégueulasse. Boulet: "JE L'AI !" Boulet, entouré d'une auréole de sagesse: "LE RAISIN ! Cette note de fruit, c'est du raisin." Le vigneron et Tetsuo (qui reprend un aspect humain progressivement) sont sans voix. La caméra s'éloigne. Boulet réalise ce qu'il vient de dire et répète, la voix faiblissant jusqu'à disparaître: "Du raisin. C'est un vin qui a un goût de raisin." Texte off: "Dites pas à ma belle-famille américaine que j'ai raconté cette histoire: ils croient encore à mon raffinement français."

40 years ago today we first opened our doors, at our inaugural site on Great Russell Street, opposite the British Museum. Originally dealing predominantly in back-issues, we’ve grown to host all aspects of the culture of comics, weathered the tumult of the industry and settled in to 1 Berwick St.
