We will be eeeeasing-in to 2026 with a daytime #Rustlang ☕️ session in January 😎.

Please do come along, especially if you've not been before. The atmosphere is pretty chill and no need or expectation to be an expert in Rust (or any language).

Hope to see you there!

As it often the case when I am in Germany, the topic of (painful) train travel came up, and in particular: is it quicker to go North↔South than East↔West? Me being me, I wondered if I could answer this with data: geo.houseofmoran.io/posts/2025-1...

I finally got round to writing-up / finishing-off my "Makers Gonna Make" session in September: geo.houseofmoran.io/posts/2025-1... 😅

(yes, I am one of those people who just tend to switch to a different type of work over holidays, if I let myself)

Bored over the festive season? We're still seeking contributions to our ridiculous saytheprime.com video project: sign up and make a 5-minute video of yourself saying a chunk of digits of the largest known prime number. Can we finish before they discover a bigger one? It's a race against maths!
Say the Prime
We're attempting to get a collection of humans to say every digit of the newly-discovered (and currently largest-known prime number) Mersenne prime M136279841, and hope to achieve this before another…

My daughter was annoyed that i generated a picture for my talk yesterday. Normally avoid AI generated images but it was a talk about vibe coding @aifortherestofus.live.

So she drew me an alternative picture. This is a software developer that has replaced their keyboard with a tab button.
