I advocated for myself tonight and I'm really proud of me for it. I had a rough 24hrs and was not feeling up to being on camera for my 2.5 hour zoom lecture. Just the thought made it feel like my brain had a sugarcoating of prickleburrs.

HQN killing their historical romance line, a line that's been running for decades, is a damn tragedy. These were some of the first romances I ever read, and this whole thing makes me horribly sad.
I want to read Heated Rivalry. I do.
But I also know that means going to my local indie, buying a copy, and inevitably making eye contact with the cashier at check out all the while knowing that SHE knows it's because I've been watching the sexy hockey show.
