Fisher famously floated the idea that the US nuclear codes should be stored on a capsule implanted in the heart of a volunteer who followed the president around. If the president wanted nuclear war, they'd have to carve that capsule out of the volunteer's heart with a knife to get the codes.

I’ve never had the impression there was any continuity between the films. I actually assumed James Bond was a generic name applied to orphans recruited into Her Majesty’s Service.
