Unless we, as engaged and media literate viewers, are SUPPOSED to feel like the ending was how the studio would recut it because that would fit the themes in a super meta way? I have enough faith in Wright to almost allow for that, but, still…blek!
Based on the last five minutes alone I’m going to be a Running Man truther that Edgar Wright didn’t have final cut.

Predator Badlands has Samurai Jack and Ray Harryhausen in its DNA. Honestly the kind of well-executed, mid-budget genre fair the movies have been missing. Memorable/unique score and sound design too.

I think the almost zealous commitment to 'Lore' and 'The Canon' that has risen over the past decade is the most frustrating and restrictive cultural movement we've seen, on par with how streaming means no one commissions tv beyond one series at a time anymore.

Putting away ALL the laundry for the household took the combined runtime of The Fog & Silence of the Lambs, but it’s done AND I got to enjoy two stone cold bangers. Couple that with seeing ET at a drive-in last night & it’s been a good movie weekend. Sad I couldn’t make it to GTD’s Frankenstein tho.

Worried I spammed the neighbors in our small community Discord too hard with thoughts about NYCC before several of them go. Maybe went too hard belittling Wall-of-Prints sellers in Artist Alley…is that possible? Can someone more articulate and less mean please describe why they’re the actual worst?

You and your wife simply MUST troll the frozen appetizers at the supermarket & choose-your-own-adventure to some kind of dirtbag charcuterie heaven. Feeds the twisted gerbil in your brain that craves takeout but it costs about 800% less. Pretend to (or actually have) the muchies for max XP.

My mid-life crisis is daydreaming that I can live in an 80's arcade styled hobbit hole/bunker, & just make music on analog synth gear. Do I know anything about music or audio engineering beyond what I've used in video editing software? Nope! Does that dampen my enthusiasm at all? Also nope!
