CBS, now under Bari Weiss's control, has pulled their 60 Minutes program "Inside CECOT" episode that was due to air, because "it needed more reporting." The 30-second show promo video has been pulled from YouTube and set to private so nobody can watch it.
It looks like it's been scrubbed from every official 60 Minutes page now.

It's only a 30-second promo but here it is if you didn't get a chance to see it.

The thing about the Free Press is that you can read it and have no idea that Trump is violating the purported values of the publication, or even that he is President. And the Free Press is the reason why Bari Weiss was put in charge of CBS News.

All of the people in this photo descend from America's 2nd Vice President and 3rd President, Thomas Jefferson. Would JD consider these people white? If not, why not? They're all "heritage Americans" in that they descend from a founder, yes?

🤡There's never been a time in US history where people expect you to apologize *for being white*. People expect you to apologize*for being pro-racism*.

Worldwide, fewer than half of all white people are pro-racism.♥️

In the US it takes an active disinfo campaign to keep the pro-racism group > 50%.

I’m with Palmer Luckey on this.
So I know it’s sometimes difficult to understand why knowledgeable people in the defense world think Anduril is full of shit. But I now have a great way to explain how you should view their pitches. This was a recent… idea(*) of Palmer Luckey’s. Basically leverage American soft power and immigration

I worked at South End Press in the 90s and met/hung out with Chomsky a few times.

A lot of professional leftists are prickly, under-socialized, and/or annoying.

Chomsky is just a jerk. He wouldn’t notice Epstein’s flaws because, fundamentally, he’s also just an arrogant white dude.
Melinda Gates was able to see that Jeffrey Epstein was not a good person right away. Given Chomsky's critique of oligarchs, you'd think he'd be able to figure it out as well.

The gall to treat the 2024 election like it was a binding referendum on American culture, a lasting “vibe shift” to which others must accommodate, then within a year proclaim the cultural change over, as if a bystander, not an active contributor manufacturing vibe shifts by overdetermining results.

"Why did God let Trump be president?"

He gave us two thousand years advance warning of the antichrist, made him the individual with the most readily accessible, up-to-date public information about his multiple shortcomings ever, and gave us a mulligan the first time.

We were given an out.

One thing worth remembering as all of this Epstein stuff roils is that we know of multiple occasions in which women were paid to keep them from talking about having sex with Trump.
WELKER: Why was this photo of a desk with a drawer open containing photos of Trump taken down?

BLANCHE: You can see in that photo there are photos of women. We learned there were concerns about them.

W: Are you saying those women are victims of Epstein?

B: No, that's not what I'm saying.

It's such a tell on all these people that they saw Epstein as the perfect embodiment of urbane decadence.

He couldn't spell, he had little sex competitions with gutter misogynists, his interior design sense was awful, there is no evidence whatsoever that he was smart or funny

My dad died from complications due to Alzheimer’s.

I remember the first time they gave him this test. It was BECAUSE it was already quite clear something was very wrong, even if we didn’t yet have a diagnosis, and even if he did okay the first time.

This isn’t some routine prophylactic exam.

I need the politics nerds to read more history and military theory because "wait I won so many battles, how did we lose?" is what happened to Hannibal and it's what this exclusively data driven approach is vulnerable to
Likewise, if you're actually thinking about politics at a national level, you can (and should) have representatives in safe districts take less popular but politically important policy positions because they can do so with impunity and WAR would make anyone who does this look worse

🚨 The DOJ appears to have redacted Donald Trump’s name from the allegations made in this exhibit in the Epstein files.

Trump’s name was in the original release. Now, it’s blacked out.

See for yourself.

This Yglesias piece in the NYT is horrifically bad. Almost every "fact" it cites is provably false. At best it is cocktail party banter from a pundit who knows nothing of energy. At worst, it was cut/paste from oil industry talking points. So, a rebuttal: www.nytimes.com/2025/12/18/o...

WOW: The DOJ has DELETED an image from its release of the Epstein files that shows photos of Trump in a drawer.

Yesterday, we noted that this image — file 468 — likely slipped through the cracks while officials were attempting to hide materials pertaining to Trump.

Now, it’s gone.

compare to 2017/18 when Republicans only *failed* at repealing Obamacare, this time they actively hurt it.

Building on the ACA + a public option is IMO a very potent and simple message that Dems of all stripes should embrace
...record-high share of Americans approve of the ACA, according to Gallup. KFF shows all-time high reached earlier this year.

I feel like that makes it worse, bc it underscores that it's not just (using just loosely) RFK Jr randomly being a conspiracy addled eugenicist wackjob -- this catastrophe was coordinated and had the backing of the conservative legal movement
It is utterly catastrophic that RFK Jr. plans to end CDC recommendations for most childhood vaccines.

It’s a betrayal of science, ethics, compassion, and the people of the United States.

And it was also a specific goal of Project 2025 (page 254).

–not complete
–comically redacted
–not in a “searchable” format

The Trump-Vance administration had months to recover from the embarrassing influencer binder photo-op and this is what they came up with.

This is what they think of you
