Saturday at a rally and march in honor of Renee Nicole Good.

I stayed on our local Mom for Liberty, Beth Bourne (of Harassing-Hawai’i-Drag-Queens fame) to prevent her from following and harassing other marchers and families.

How she reacted still surprised me.

I don’t know who needs to hear Jesse Jackson leading the kids on Sesame Street in this beautiful call-and-response reminding them that every child is somebody, but here it is

Thread: I first learned about Jesse Jackson in 1984 when he ran for President of the United States. My dad was all in. It was probably the first election where I could understand what was happening, so I didn’t have a pre-conceived notion that a Black President would be unusual or surprising.

This is a prevalent attitude among white Democrats. Allow me to point out that fighting for the rights of Black Americans and women has been going on for more than 5 or 10 years and we’re still nowhere close to equality.

Do NOT ask the trans or any other marginalized community to wait.

ICE doesn't ever "leave" any state. There will continue to be ICE and CBP enforcement actions as there were during previous presidents. Hillary Clinton was saying this in her remarks. She doesn't like the visible violence but she is fine with "regular" violence.

Trumpworld assumed MAGA-adjacent parts of the culture would thrill to ICE brutality. ICE recruits among fans of UFC, Nascar, military tactical equipment.

But even MAGA-friendly constituencies and parts of the culture are now rejecting ICE and mass deportations. 5/

It’s easy to think you’re a genius when you know nothing about other people’s accomplishments or the compass of human knowledge.
Bro it’s wild how all these geniuses just don’t read books. Like just unaware of basic, obvious counterarguments as they parrot fifth grade level white nationalist agitprop.

Imagine having a soul so small you see people’s love for themselves and each other as a threat.
I'm hardly the first person to note this, but it's enormously instructive that our President and his followers saw the message "THE ONLY THING MORE POWERFUL THAN HATE IS LOVE" and understood it, correctly, as an attack on them
What a moment.

Benito Bowl was beautiful, moving, powerful, joyous. So many brown and Black folks representing ALL of the Americas.

This is MY America. I think the people who don’t want to live in this one should go back to where their families came from.

They're literally running out of lawyers in a state where the district judges are practically at war with the administration.
BREAKING: 8 more U.S. Attorneys in MN resign from Trump’s DOJ in protest as backlash grows.
This isn’t normal; isn’t routine reshuffling. It’s a rebellion.
Last month, 6 veteran prosecutors quit in protest. Normal staffing for the MN DOJ’s office is around 50 attorneys. They’re down to just 9.

If I got paid for every time I had to credential myself, I’d probably make more money.
I think a lot of men genuinely don't understand that women HAVE to credential ourselves in these conversations ("I say that as an organizer with over 20 years of experience").

Most especially in discourse about male-coded fields, organizing being one of them. We get dismissed outright if we don't.
