“TRADEMARK” IS A NOUN NOT A VERB AND THAT’S A MEANINGFUL DISTINCTION! YOU ACQUIRE TRADEMARK RIGHTS BASED ON USE OF YOUR MARK WHETHER OR NOT YOU TAKE FORMAL LEGAL STEPS LIKE REGISTRATION “TO TRADEMARK” YOUR MARK! ALTHOUGH THERE ARE GOOD REASONS TO SEEK REGISTRATION, WHICH A LAWYER CAN EXPLAIN TO YOU!

If the GOP decides to go all in on Trump’s “private health insurance is a scam that provides substandard healthcare” attack, it’ll be wild if they end up stumbling backwards into endorsing a single payer system.

Whatever your politics or your take on the case, it would be legitimately funny if there was a huge spike in Subway sales today.

Don’t mind me, I’ll just be searching the USPTO trademark database every few days to see if someone does the inevitable….
This is the "felony footlong" patch that the defense displayed in closing arguments in the sandwich guy trial, but it was never introduced in evidence, so jurors were told to disregard.

I know this probably sounds frivolous, and maybe it’s the trademark attorney in me speaking, but I really do believe that something important and ultimately tragic happened when we as a nation just let Republicans misname their opponents “the Democrat Party” as a playground dig without correction.

Why do people buy pizza with EBT?
Because cauliflower is five dollars a head and you can buy five pizzas with the same money.
It’s not that folks don’t want to be healthy. They can’t afford to be healthy.

I've given my new Senator a lot of shit on here. But I don't think anyone with power has laid out the stakes of what we're facing as clearly as she does right here.
And if she's saying this, it's because she feels she must.

Every President Before Trump: “Oh, you can just ignore every law and restriction you don’t like?!? Damn, I wish I knew that!”
Despite two separate courts ruling Friday that the Trump administration must fund SNAP amid the government shutdown, the president said his lawyers don't think the orders are legal and will need to look into it more.

There was a time when a story like this would’ve been picked up by a major Hollywood studio inside of a week and announced for release as a mid-size budget political comedy by next Spring.

If MAGA had emerged maybe 10 or 15 years earlier than it did, we’d probably have smoking in every public space and laws that protected smokers from any “harassment” by non-smokers.
And the HHS would probably recommend that pregnant women smoke.
Anti-smoking would be “woke.”

I will repeat this every single day for the next three years: Any Democrat running for president in 2028 must pledge to immediately tear down/bulldoze/demolish Trump’s ballroom and fully restore the East Wing and any other piece of the People’s House Trump has or will destroy.

At some point it has to become clear that this tech exists is to create a more toxic society and enrich its owners. These uses are not aberrations but rather the entire purpose.

I’ve decided it’s simply impossible to listen to the @nytimes.com “The Daily” podcast. The people producing and appearing on that show simply do not understand the moment that we’re in as a nation, and it is embarrassing to hear people of influence and reach get it that wrong at this critical time.
