Do bosses need excuses to fire people? Do they push their "employees to produce lower quality results"? Are companies "forced to hire contractors to fix AI’s mistakes"?

There's a lot of confusion out there, but if you think of AI as a Techno-Taylorist machine for crushing wages, it all makes sense
AI Blamed for Tens of Thousands of White Collar Layoffs
Massive layoffs among white collar workers are being blamed on AI -- but the evidence of a causal relationship is as thin as ever.

One of the most unsettling things about our current moment is how geeked the Altmans Musks Gates suddenly are for a post-scarcity world
Musk says Tesla's new mission of sustainable abundance is about creating a world with "no poverty" and universal free healthcare, because the robot will be an "incredible surgeon" (?)

He articulates this new and utterly insane "mission" with incredibly low energy, underlining its absurdity.
