For folks saying 50 year loans aren't a scam... this is why they are. The difference in payment between 30 and 50 is pretty small, while the difference in interest is enormous.

hm I wonder how widely known this tradition is? Like, I'm guessing there's a lot of people who'd be tickled to know that most married Koreans have a pair of wooden ducks somewhere in their house.
I have a question for any Koreans who see this: are you supposed to display wedding ducks in the home a certain way? Since I'm only half-Korean I'm not that familiar with the tradition. I know they are displayed beak-to-beak during the wedding ceremony, but at home mine are just sitting like this:

Reading this thread reminds me of the noodle shop I used to eat at a lot. It was a Thai restaurant where the walls were lined with 50s Americana (Elvis dolls, stuff like that). The place just screamed "immigrants who love America".
Speaking of diversity being American, I was at the bar last Friday and this lady was trying to show her like leftist bonafides or some shit I guess, and was talking about how the US isn't as diverse as other countries she's visited and its just like...what fucking countries are you visiting lady?!?
