What's so amazing about Jim Henson as a puppeteer is that he could literally be explaining that Kermit is made out of felt and ping pong balls and yet Kermit still feels alive the whole time he's doing it

During my first trip to Geja's several years ago there was a couple at another table where clearly one party thought it was a date and the other was surprised to learn this.

Got an email pitching an AI agent that could make and upload entire books - and their audiobook versions - with the touch of a button.

The same day I also received an email from someone asking if they should go with traditional or self publishing.

My advice? [1/2]

I was in an even worse position than I am now in 2011, when I started self-publishing and brought enough $ in monthly to cover rent.

I could not do that now. My skills are 15 years sharper, but market discovery is dead. AI killed the environment that made it possible for me to get by as an author.
I don't see how self-publishing world survives GenAI. It's going to be an absurd increase in slop books with no reason to expect any increase in paying readers.

The article is talking about a program done by Biden and Kamala, this happened under Biden and Kamala. Biden and Kamala did this.

And yet the replies are all blue wave fuckos like "this is what happens when you don't vote for Dems!"

So it's Black History Month and that means I think it's a good time to get familiar with Mike Pondsmith, if you're not already.

When you see R. Talsorian Games, that's him. When you see Cyberpunk 2077, that's his world.

Mekton, Castle Falkenstein, also him.

If I have one birthday wish, it's that you don't lose hope. Go out, hit up a protest, connect with mutual aid in your area, perform self care, strengthen your support network.

Do what you can. It is enough. Then rest. Exhale.

It's my birthday.

I've been out of work since July '24 so it'd be huge if you could check out my patreon and see if there's anything I do that you might be interested in supporting. Got a bunch of projects lined up for 2026 if you're into narrative games, retrogaming, or interactive fiction.

Fuck the Democrats.

They will never help you. They will always demand that you lay down and die for Capitalism like a good serf.

Fuck 'em.

They are your enemy.
Q: The demand was to get ICE and CBP out. To replace Bovino with Tom Homan...do you think that's a satisfactory change?

TIM WALZ: "I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt. ...My hope is that Tom Homan is different...that he is a true law enforcement professional."
