#GameDev #DevLog: I've been working on a single-screen platformer in #godotEngine 4.5 in which the player is plundering billionaire's survival bunkers. This morning I implemented security cameras that sweep until they intersect the player, then stop and fire.

I remember a late 80s sci fi short story about burning out AI robot imposters' brains by making them come up with rhymes for the word "Orange."
Looks like LLMs are *very* vulnerable to attack via poetic allusion: "curated poetic prompts yielded high attack-success rates (ASR), with some providers exceeding 90% ..."

#DevLog: I'm currently working on a #godotEngine single-screen platform game about breaking into billionaire's survival bunkers to steal their hoarded wealth. It's going to be very simple. Think "Jumpman" or "Miner 2049er". Then go simpler.

I’m a big “rising tide lifts all boats” guy so I never say no without offering a recommendation.

One of my favorite clients first approached me about writing a character very different from me, and I said “I’m not your man for this“ and they “thank you, will you help us find the correct writer?”
One curious thing that helped me a lot in my freelance career is knowing a lot of other freelancers.

Being able to tell people "I'm not the most suitable person for this, but I know a guy/gal/pal who is" is a great way to present yourself as reliable and considerate, which'll take you very far

TurboTax owner Intuit is also paying OpenAI more than $100 million a year to power AI agents.

Plonk, a Small Game Done Fast.

It's a single player ball and paddle game; creating the CPU for the second paddle took up most of the dev time. Created in #GodotEngine as a prototype for a game about minigames replicating 1970s arcade titles that I'm working on. #gameDev #devLog
