Every time I start planning for the worst - looking into re-homing the cats, looking at selling all our stuff or finding storage solutions - it sends me into a depressive spiral.
I'm too old to spend another decade living out of a suitcase, and it's not just me this time around.

After that, she'll be in recovery for a month, leaving me as the only one able to look for work. If I don't find something by February, we run out of savings. If I don't find something that pays all our expenses... that kicks the can down the road a little, but we face that same cruel inevitability.
