I'm a candy junkie, and I've noticed my favorite treats have tasted worse over the past few years. I even threw away a bag of kitkats last year I bought for Halloween, they tasted like wax. So this isn't the least bit surprising.

This is something we should think about across all writing intensive fields. Even if you're using the AI to turn notes into drafts, you are offloading the kinds of creative and epistemic decisions that drive the organization of your writing to a machine.

Let me tell you a tale of how completely the normies have been mobilized. My 14 year-old niece has done School of Rock for the past 5 years; last summer she was part of their touring band, and the kids loved playing together so much that they decided to keep doing it. (1/?)

Talked to someone the other week, a man in a professional setting, who openly admitted that he used AI to generate porn multiple times a day, and that he considers it a positive benefit of GenAI because AI porn "doesn't exploit women," and refused to entertain any suggestion otherwise.
it doesn't seem like its an accident that its a lot of cis men centrists/liberals are mostly the ones hoping that AI critics would be "calmer" and "more reasonable" about their criticisms, and saying people are "too angry/wrong" but maybe my misogyny-detection-systems are running sensitive
