Contacted Auckland Transport about missing broken yellow lines at a pedestrian refuge kerb ramp. Their answer was: nope, not necessary. Is this right? Are we really allowing people to park and block kerb ramps at a pedestrian refuge?

By 'teenagers' they mean anyone under 50, right?
Teenagers no longer answer the phone: is it a lack of manners or a new trend?

Listening to Luxon defending the voting registration changes that his own Attorney General warns against, and it has me pondering if we've ever had a Prime Minister more disinterested in engaging with facts, evidence, and official advice. #nzpol

We are spending $5.5 billion on a transformational rail project, only for Auckland Transport to bring back cars and traffic right outside stations, by last minute redesigning a well supported project.

Something needs to change.

A bit of Western planning dogma that Tokyo will disabuse you of is the idea that all residential density should be concentrated on major corridors. No! People want to live on quiet, low-traffic, clean air side streets. The major corridors are for commercial uses.

Remember, Change dot org petitions are basically only good for generating social media buzz and harvesting your email details. If you want to sign a petition that requires Parliament to respond, sign one on the Parliament website. For example, one might "Remove charitable status from Destiny Church".
Petitions are addressed to the House of Representatives and ask that the House do something about a policy or law, or put right a local or private concern.
