Dearest 90s kids who were deeply into alt-rock, today is Gavin Rossdale's 60th birthday.

Just in case you weren't feeling old enough.

wait, there have been only 2 World Series games that went to 18 innings and Brad Paisley sang at both of them???

It’s okay, Jays. You’ll get ‘em in game four, which starts ten minutes from now.

If we’re measuring in minutes watched, the one month of sportsnet I bought to watch the World Series is already really good value.

The 90s nostalgia is strong this week. The Blue Jays are in the World Series, and I’ve been listening to a newly released Andrew Lloyd Webber cast album on repeat. It’s like I’m 15 again!

Welcome to "Nose is a little drippy" bike season.

Just cold enough to fire up the nose faucet, not cold enough to kill the allergens. But you all look great in those sweaters and leaf stompin boots. 💙🚲💛

Our kitchen Google hub just served up Last Saskatchewan Pirate followed by Istanbul (Not Constantinople) and we got to wondering what ever happened to the genre of comedic pop/folk. Bands like The Arrogant Worms and TMBG got radio play back in the heyday of my youth! It doesn’t seem as prevalent now

I broke down and bought Wicked merch. The added appeal of 80s nostalgia was just too much to resist.

@thewaroncars.bsky.social I just saw the e-mail about the pre-order bonuses. Does this apply to non-American folks too? All of the pre-order options on the website are US retailers. I assume I can pre-order from my local bookstore here in Canada and just indicate that on the form?

You can’t CTRL-F a video to quickly find the relevant info! Articles FTW.
The real generational divide is people who refuse to watch a video if it could be an article versus people who refuse to read an article if it could be a video

I’m pondering whether to pay for some sort of tour when I visit NYC in a couple months or just get a citibike and do my own thing. This option, which promises a tour with an urban planner, is intriguing (but pricey!) gothambiketours.com/portfolio-it...

I need to say a few words about Darren.
He was, in many ways, the doctor all doctors needed to be. Compassionate, caring, an advocate and a poet. We were all privliged to have him in our world.
And we are poorer for his departure from it.
Wherever you are, I hope there are paddles and pedals.

I only met Dr. Darren Markland a few times, but he made an impact on me. This clip from coffee outside (with Darren giving away free coffee from his bike-mounted coffee-maker) offers a glimpse into how he viewed cycling and community as interwoven. I'm so sorry for his family and community.
