Interesting research by Anthropic Fellows Judy Hanwen Shen & Alex Tamkin hinting that coding with AI can harm skill development in some circumstances and enhance it in others: arxiv.org/html/2601.20.... The key seems to be whether the coder seeks "help in understanding" or just "asks for answers".
