It's a little thing, but I'm pleased the bipartisan statements call it the Department of Defense, and not Trump's bullshit.
UPDATE: I added in the congressional response to the boat-strike section once I saw we had bipartisan, matching statements from both House and Senate Armed Services Committees. www.lawdork.com/p/trump-admi...

A note on SaneWashing: I read part of this post to family (all liberal Democrats who consume a lot of news, but not social media), and it blew their mind. They all thought it was parody: if Corporate Media did not SaneWash, it would shock US, his approval would plummet from low (30s) to lower(20s).

This is so deeply at odds with the vision and history of America. Take pretty much any ethnic or racial group that are part of the American mosaic America today - they have all faced the same accusation. The moment these accusations are turned into policy are some of the most shameful in US history

Trump gets a pass on violent rhetoric, and he shouldn't. Calling the police is the correct response. Journalists should also take this seriously, demanding explanations and accountability from the White House, instead of pretending this is just a Thursday.
