This paper is excellent and gives insight into how so much race-based medicine came to be. Race is a factor included in these models found to be associated with health outcomes when the unmeasured confounded is racism. Look forward to teaching from this!

🚨There is a hidden issue in US immigration detention: the treatment of pregnant, postpartum, and nursing women. 🚨

Despite ICE's own policies against detaining these individuals, reports of medical neglect, miscarriages, and nutritional deprivation have been documented.

Acetaminophen remains a safe pain relief option during pregnancy. Despite recent unfounded claims, there’s no clear evidence linking prudent use to fetal development issues. ACOG's guidance remains. When needed in pregnancy, acetaminophen should be used in moderation, after consulting a doctor.

OpenAI cried that if everyone eligible author files, the company will go bankrupt, so I'm alerting every author I have ever spoken to.

This is an outrage on every level, but to equate vaccine mandates to slavery is straight disinformation. Enslavers kept their enslaved people vulnerable to disease, refusing to inoculate or vaccinate them which led to catastrophic numbers of deaths in both the American Revolution and the Civil War.

True: @zohranmamdani lives in 1 unit of rent-stabilized housing.

Also true: Andrew Cuomo oversaw the loss of 96,064 units of rent-stabilized housing. And killed NYC’s program helping people move out of shelter.

Leaders must show moral clarity. Andrew, time to move out. 🧵

A real quote. Good god.

“While it’s really slow & frustrating, one of the benefits of [the ICJ’s glacial pace] is that when the court, almost inevitably I think at this point, finds that Israel has been committing genocide, we will be able to say that there is no doubting this conclusion.”
