I got a great question on my Ramadan thread: do Muslims also need to avoid consumption by proxy in videogames? Does consuming in-game food or drink break the fast? Basically: does your character have to go fast?
The answer is no, unless you happen to be playing Sonic the Hedgehog.

One of the best parts of working on Avowed was the excuse to go back and play the Pillars of Eternity games again. Obviously the writing is clutch, but I still maintain Deadfire is the prettiest and most visually stunning cRPG I’ve ever played.

it's insane to me as someone who watched the live service model grow into what it is today that these kinds of games aren't even given a month to live and potentially grow and gain and audience when something like league or fortnite didn't blow up overnight.

The point of the AI project is to provoke despair in creative people. They haven’t produced profits or anything anyone wants, just a steady stream of articles about how us artistic types can’t do the thing we’re already doing, making art. Jokes on them, we’re even better at despair than they are.
