Happy Carnival from the Mad Hatters parade in Metairie.
A Mardi gras float with a green dragon looking monster that maybe the Jabberwocky from Alice in wonderland or some Louis and Carol nonsense, but then there are two people in large tooth costumes. No like a single tooth with a :-) on the tooth. I think this parade is run by dentists., also a couple people on the float to throw beads and shrinkets out at the crowd. In the foreground the crowd waving and hollering to the float, saying throw me something mister. Blue sky, short sleeves, but a little chilly for me. As the sun is set, I'm huddling in my coat cuz it got cold quick.

This is Jerry Lawson. He invented the video game cartridge for the Fairchild Channel F system. Because of his invention, many consoles had cartridges and CD formats and would become the norm.

The Atari 2600, NES, Genesis, and many consoles wouldn't exist without him.

Boy have these rankings changed. Jedi Temple moved from 2.5 to #1. Galaxy Series Spike moved from fourth to second place in my heart. Everybody else has drifted down to Maybe, except 3 Card that joins Kessel at No Thank You. (By the way, the app added new songs)

I know some people look down on animation as a medium, and comedy as a genre, and I can’t fix those glaring character defects. But, if that’s NOT you, I highly recommend watching Star Wars Resistance right now! It’s got all of the timely themes we need, but it’s also easy on the heart & mind.

This book was great: funny, touching, exciting. But during and after reading, I keep having to remind myself that we're not currently under threat of cheesepocalypse
A novel by John scalzi titled when the moon hits your eye. The cover art features an astronaut on a moon made of cheese. The premise of the novel, which is science fiction or is that speculative fiction, I don't know what that stuff's called, anyway, the moon has suddenly turned to cheese, and that makes people feel a certain kind of way... My issue was, the book was oddly current and realistic. I feel a level of stress daily, and the people in the book feel a daily level of stress, and the stress levels matched up so well, I would just forget that the cheese situation wasn't the actual problem in my real life
