If your senator is not like mine (so craven he doesn't have his fucking phones OR his voicemail open), call them and let them know how you'd feel about them reopening the government having not achieved anything at all
Call the United States Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and they will connect you with your senator's office.

If you're represented by one of the squishier centrists, be sure to make a call. Now.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

It's true! Call Chuck Schumer at (202) 224-6542, press 4, then, yes, press literally any button and leave him a message. Very easy AND you don't need to talk to anyone.
just found out that if you listen to his whole spiel at his capitol office, press 4 to speak to someone, listen to his other spiel, and THEN press some other button, you can leave him a voicemail there. better than fucking nothing I guess
it's so evil that Schumer's office won't even let you leave a voicemail while they're "closed" over the weekend, meanwhile it looks like he's about to fuck us all over for the 472685th time this year

Government propaganda has always been used to justify police & prisons. Fear can work. It’s what leads us to still invest in prisons when they don’t keep us safe. But we have also seen that it is possible to see through lies and myths. We can choose hope & humanity. We can choose community instead.
