There’s a difference between appreciating your country and idolizing it.

Patriotism invites accountability. Nationalism shuts it down.

It genuinely blows my mind just how unforgiving our cities are.

Too infirm to make it make it to the other end of the pedestrian crossing before the timer runs out?

Boom, you’re now playing real life frogger, and if you get squished by a semi-truck it’s your fault.
A troubling pattern is taking shape: parents are being charged—sometimes even jailed—when their children are struck and killed on dangerously designed roads. But there is nothing radical or reckless about letting your child cross the street.

“The United States, with its enormous highways, sprawling suburbs & neglected public transport, is one of the most car-dependent countries in the world. But this arrangement of obligatory driving is making many Americans actively unhappy, new research has found.”

Abandoning Ukraine will be a permanent stain on our history, and it will give Putin encouragement to try to conquer more of the world. The Senator understands that, and so should Musk.

Trump inherited an economy that was firing on all cylinders. Now, just weeks into his tenure, the outlook is far gloomier -- and the sudden deterioration is due almost entirely to his policies and the uncertainty they have created.

Very few Dutch cyclists wear helmets. Yet theirs are among the safest streets on earth. Why?

They understand it’s more beneficial to calm motor traffic, build dedicated infrastructure, and nurture a culture of everyday cycling. Not force the most vulnerable users to armour up.

This is why lil marco was sinking into the couch. He was hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.

Facts: Putin is a dictator and murderer. Russia invaded Ukraine. Ukraine is fighting for their lives. America used to stand up against tyrants. This is not who we are as a nation. Disgraceful.

Remember the Bucha Massacre? Putin was responsible for this atrocity and now the United States is making nice with him? While extorting Ukraine for minerals and threatening to cut off Starlink access? Instead of standing up to Putin we are trying to force Ukraine to surrender. Fucking disgraceful.

I am proud to have worked on two bills that have just been introduced in the Illinois State Senate that would:
1. Allow cyclists to ride side by side, ride contraflow on one way streets, and permits Idaho stops (SB2111)
2. Allow for urban municipalities to lower speeds to 10MPH (SB2112)
