Well I think we can all agree that it’s been another big week for social cohesion .

We'll say it again: "social cohesion", when uttered by the holders of political and social power and privilege, means simply the maintenance of the dominant culture and silencing of any challenge to it.

Preach! Wallowing in mediocrity. A majority like no other and not a shred of credibility left. Tinkering around the edges ain't gonna do it. We need reform on multiple fronts and albo is fucking worried about pissing off the legacy murdoch media. I mean, for fucks sake...
Australia needs to seriously come to terms with how much the Labor Party fucking sucks

It's "culturally unsafe" to have a Palestinian Aus author advocate against the systematic slaughter of hundreds of thousands of her people, but it's
"a good thing" for the president of apartheid Israel, which has committed daily massacres and mass starvation for 2yrs, to visit us. Unbearably racist.

All Peter Malinauskas' words about Randa Abdel-Fattah are a false equivalence, ignoring the dynamic of oppressed and oppressor. Palestinian resistance is legal and justified. Israeli genocide is not. I've seen far too many dead kids to tolerate any of this racist, moronic dribble.

Why anyone dignifies the Coalition with the pretence that they have the slightest clue what they want or what they're talking about is a complete mystery. Labor is a craven capitulation machine, but the Coalition make One Nation look coherent and principled.
Politicising Bondi backfires for Liberals who got what they asked for
Federal Liberals are discovering the price of having been so brazen in their politicisation of the Bondi terror attack and many appear to have buyers' remorse.

And to suggest there's some sort of lobby is likely to have you labelled an anti-semite.
1/3 Like clockwork, the Israel lobby goes after new high profile targets, to try to get the rest of us to shut up about genocidal apartheid Israel.

Will ABC board & management show the same spinelessness as in their sacking of Antoinette Lattouf?

Resist.
This is Minneapolis:

Walk into my neighborhood ACE last night & see the signage on their door notifying fed agents that it’s private property and cannot be used for immigration enforcement. These signs are all over the city.

Walk in & the nearest shelf has goggles & whistles.

Unhinged racism. Explicitly tying Randa to a terrorist attack by two Indian Muslims, essentially accusing her of incitement, which is a real crime. Once again: ISIS is opposed to Palestinian statehood, has murdered Palestinian refugees, and burned Palestinian flags. They do not care about Palestine.
I don’t know how Malinauskas is managing to make this even worse. This is a horrendous comment - the false equivalence here is horrific

You know, in a normal world, a Jewish programming director inviting a Palestinian author to speak would be celebrated as a positive example of this “social cohesion” thing.

But I guess it’s only “social cohesion” if an Arab woman is being battered and smeared by News Corp.

Also good note re Louise Adler - she is very much being targeted by this. Zionists *want* her to resign

Where are all the good guys with guns? The people who have spent the last 50 years telling us that we had to make sure every American has a gun in case we needed them to protect ourselves from tyranny?

And where are the stories to point this out (they may be there; I just don't know)?

The point is that, while criminal proceedings are on foot, a royal commission can't look at anything to do with the Bondi shootings or the shooters, including why and how they did it, that is it can't touch on the subject that is its sole reason for being established. It will achieve nothing.
There's a glaring problem with calls for a royal commission into the Bondi terror attack
Australians deserve answers after the Bondi Beach shooting — but a royal commission won't deliver them.

Beau Webster steps off the sidelines into the light as promise of Cameron Green wilts | Geoff Lemon
With his one Ashes opportunity Webster outscored his fellow all-rounder while looking calmer, more organised and switching to off-spin There was an irony to the fact that Cameron Green’s catch made Beau Webster’s day look even better. Green had not had a good one, having earlier dived in front of Australia’s most prolific slip catcher to spoil a simple Steve Smith catch. It followed a poor day the day before, skying a pull shot after getting settled on 37, and a poor series before that. Then came Webster, an off-break swept into the deep, and Green’s long legs ate up the turf before crashing his body into a dive that gathered up the ball in its fall, the two Australians combining for what might be the tallest wicket in Test history. There is usually only room for a single two-metre all-rounder in a team, unless they’re operating at specialist level in one discipline. Webster has spent this series on the sidelines of a team that backed Green as the better choice. The returns so far have been 149 runs at 21, and 4 wickets at 70. It has been telling that in Webster’s one opportunity, batting below Green in the order, he first outscored him while looking calmer and more organised with 71 not out, then showed his versatility by switching from seam-up to off-spin to nab three wickets.
