I truly feel sorry for every American smart enough to realize that this makes the United States look like the dumbest nation on the planet.
DOOCY: On Prince Andrew, do you think American associates of Jeffrey Epstein will wind up in handcuffs too?

TRUMP: I'm the expert in a way because I've been totally exonerated. That's very nice. I can actually speak about it very nicely. I think it's a shame. I did nothing.

Congress failed to pass the SAVE Act last year for good reason: it’s an anti-voter bill. But now lawmakers have revived it despite overwhelming public opposition. Tell Congress to reject the SAVE Act: bit.ly/4tmVIor

Trump has turned the Department of Justice into his own personal vendetta machine. And Pam Bondi has been happy to go along for the ride.

We're witnessing the most egregious politicization of the DOJ in recent memory — and I lived through the Nixon years. www.nbcnews.com/politics/jus...
Large banner of Trump unfurled at Justice Department headquarters
The DOJ has traditionally operated with a degree of separation from the White House to prevent the department's powers from being abused for political purposes.

To Americans who spent the last year afraid: you were not wrong. You were on the side of self-government — the most durable idea in human political history.

My prediction, publicly, with my name on it:

This regime — oligarchs, authoritarian populists, compromised men — will not survive in governing form through the 2026 midterms.

The house is divided. No foundation beneath it. If I'm wrong, I'll write that piece too.

A year ago I wrote The Plot Against America — tracing how a dangerous ideology moved from the fringes of tech culture to the heart of American governance.

I'm back with a follow-up. And a prediction I'm putting my name on.

I hadn't cried about how much I love Minneapolis in a few days, so this was a good one to read:

"Minnesotans will continue to keep Minnesotans safe until we rid the state of the federal occupation, just like lake ice is weakened by springtime sunshine and subsumed by the water below."
The Minneapolis Resistance Will Do Your Laundry
From free airline miles to washing clothes, Minnesotans are keeping each other safe from ICE—and leaving a blueprint for the rest of us.

And as the guy who was sprayed so close (seen in that StarTrib photo) got free and scrambled away, right behind him was a vested civilian medic following to help as she saw his face all orange, eye red and in rough shape.

Yes, good ideas! Treat it as a crime scene.
Put the property on lockdown so that no work, equipment, or materials leave the site. 7600 acres is 11 1/2 square miles of land to check. Check first with drones for soil disruptions, cadaver dogs and GPR for possible bodies.
