“The truth always lies somewhere in the middle” has to be one of my least favorite phrases. Sometimes, one side is actually truthful and one side is actually malicious and lying!

Mark, why does it feel like we're living in the first pages of a knock-off Tom Clancy book someone asked an LLM to write?

Although we don’t yet have footage of what the two Finnish soldiers in Greenland are doing while pissing off the Temu Mussolini, you may consider this an artist’s impression:

Europe watched the US re-elect a pro-Russian man who attempted a coup.

We know now that their democracy is volatile.

We cannot build our future on a partner that might turn into an enemy every four years. We have to stand on our own.

The trust is broken

Official confirmation that the widely quoted letter from Trump to the Norwegian Prime Minister is indeed as reported earlier today.

Norway’s PM says Trump sent letter tying Nobel prize snub to Greenland ambitions

JFC.

Trump is now blaming his bullying and demands to be given Greenland on not being awarded the Nobel Prize. Why should he be nice when they're being so mean to him and not giving him the prize he insists he deserves.

When Trump wanted Greenland during his previous presidency, I used to joke that Finland should sell Åland to him. As Åland is demilitarized and thus problematic for security.

The joke is not funny anymore 🤐

The Nobel Peace Prize becoming so prestigious that wars are fought over a head of state coveting it is some real monkey paw stuff for Alfred Nobel.

The Epstein emails reveal exactly what we feared. He wasn't just coordinating with Thorbjørn Jagland.

He was helping Russian officials gather leverage to blackmail Donald Trump.

This explains everything.

Trump is compromised by Russia

Germany’s satirical newspaper @der-postillon.com titles: “Vienna Academy of the Arts offers Trump admission as a student — They don’t want to get blamed again“

I called the Herr's Product Quality Concerns line and reached a nice lady. She listened to my whole little saga.

She waited, then said, "I bet you believe they're made from real potatoes now!"

I may never recover.
Got my first bag of potato chips in months. Cracked it open. The first chip out of the bag was... soggy?

The second chip was almost fungal.

Baffled, I explored the bag and discovered AN ENTIRE POTATO. Unsliced, brined, like a wad of seasoning juice. It had survived, and now was juicing the chips.

Women protesters are "wine moms".
Student protesters are "ANTIFA".
Protesters of color are "thugs."

The only legitimate protester is a divorced father with no visitation rights, three domestic violence convictions, four AR-15s and a MAGA hat, storming Congress over something he read on Stormfront.

European armies are slowly realizing the importance of unmanned systems, yet we still mostly treat them as a niche.

Their role will only increase, while Russia’s lead over us continues to grow.

We must step up far more than we currently do. It’s existential

This is the kind of fact you would never believe if you only listened to the far-right propagandists the algorithm promotes on X.

London is safe, and Europe as a whole is much safer than the US and Russia, both of which keep lecturing us
