Hit the halfway point on the second pass to smooth over the slash and burn edit phase of The Guardian. If you have not read the first novella/Verrain's story/The Gallant, plenty of time to catch up. I work the old fashioned way - largely hand marking over draft copy.

Authors filing for claim on the Anthropic list: did any of you find a publisher called Zondervan 'claiming' to be a publisher of their works (illigitimately?) I had never heard of them; never signed with them. My agent said the only outfit he knew of with that name published religious books. WTF??

Somebody explain this to me:

UK has pages and pages of instruction on 'how to file for copyright registration' in the UK, but NO way I could find to 'search' if this step was completed.

UK Publisher's legal response (when questioned): "No registration filing required here, copyright is a RIGHT."
