an important thing to realize here is that when the "we need to only do state violence in accordance with the rule of law" lib says "we need to create the card", the actual card isn't what we'd need -
we need to create a law that gives legal backing to the card and the holder/non-holder distinction.

it is funny that if there were another american civil war, it would be appropriate and unsurprising for one side to once again use the confederate flag, except the side that is politically and ideologically suited to do so is the de jure government so it would presumptively use the former union flag

a thing i have come to realize is that it is possible to "feel good" - alot of the time even! - and not "be happy".
when i was younger i voraciously and nihiliticly chased feeling good to good effect, and its been a huge QOL boost to learn and internalize this distinction.

honestly have not had many chinese meals where, if it was served, the cucumber salad wasnt the best thing on the plate. such a powerful dish.

i do not think that, when the law has been subverted and weaponized against you such that legality is both a sword and shield for your opponent,
but can never be either for you,
that you cannot win legally, cannot win by following the law.
seems impossible; if it were possible, theyd change the law.

i think those fitness apps that are like "you lifted 10,000 pounds this workout!" are v corny but i also want you to know the app would say i lift like 17,000 pounds in a workout.

its funny that in 1984 he explains how the tvs are two way but nobody knows if/when theyre being watched, maybe everyone all the time.
but we have the exact same thing with our phones, like, we know the feds can read it all at any time and maybe they do. we apologize to our fbi agents for bad ones.

although like, and this is no surprise as we've seen imperialism put the taliban in power ~twice~ in our lifetimes, that imperialism radicalizes, in a reactionary direction, its subjects outside the imperial core, this is essentially an empirical law.
and look we can say he was a bad dude but for whatever indictment you can legitimately make (biggest being fucked up elections, extrajudicial paramilitary brutality, corruption), the difference between authoritarian venezuela and america is at most one of degree - not type.

zenva courses for learning godot are helpful but tend towards too hand-holdy, but what's really working is this course is coding in C#, but my work machine won't let met install the .NET SDK to use it, so i have to translate the directions from C# into GDScript
