That "anyway"!
Just because NonCensored is a rival to BBC News that doesn't mean it takes any pleasure in the crisis at the BBC.

Maybe I did misread "chest colds" as "cheat codes" during the rank off. Maybe I did do an impression of Jar Jar Binks saying "Meesa problematic". Or maybe it's Maybelline™.

48 hours until the return of Derek Bailey and Jeremy Marre's On the Edge to the screen, and all in one afternoon at the Barbican. Saturday 2pm. Mine eyes have seen the BFI files and they look and sound glorious. All speakers confirmed; a few tickets left. Buy: www.barbican.org.uk/whats-on/202...

There's genuinely something desperately sad about tech bros constantly trying to offload their thinking, their feeling, their entire fucking life on the mechanical turk of the day. They seem to think the point of living is to do as little of it as possible.

It's not even the best film in which Bob Hoskins plays a plumber!
After watching Frankenstein, Guillermo del Toro's gothic masterpiece, I'm tackling its spiritual counterpart, almost its shadow prequel...

A film that revolutionized Hollywood, to the point that I apparently said (really) at age 13 that it was even better than Star Wars...

I put this Swedish film Watch The Skies on on Prime, and it seems alright but inexplicably they're all speaking English with European accents, the voice acting is traditionally poor and it's all *very* stilted. There's no option for Swedish with subtitles, so I paused it and discovered....

@bbcnewsnight.bsky.social When Trump was impeached for his Capitol rant his own lawyers argued his repeated use of the word 'fight' was figurative. So by their definition the BBC edit is just showing him talking figuratively. Hope that helps :) www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-u...

We alternate between men and women for the mystery voice, and the difference between finding a female voice compared to a male voice is very telling.

In the UK we like to put flags at halfmast up lampposts as a way of honouring Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, and his famous "dying of the light".

Can’t believe Disney have pulled all their money out of Tim Davie.

Here’s hoping they go back to a Director General with smaller scale stories, set mainly in Broadcasting House, and bring back some classic old baddies, like the National Viewers And Listeners Association.
