Another example of Trump ignoring the law and bulldozing his egomaniacal agenda through.

Hey worthless U.S. Congress- any chance you'll exercise your legal obligation to stop this?

Hey if you were wondering whether Hegseth's soldiers are willing to obey illegal orders, let's ask the ones who were last seen scurrying down ropes onto the deck of a Venezuelan oil tanker like contemptible Somali pirates, jonesing to steal some oil as part of a unilateral and unprovoked act of war

We are a crime syndicate. Also, what is happening to his nose? Is it turning into a piggy snout?
Trump: "It's been an interesting day from the standpoint of news. As you probably know, we've just seized a tanker on the coast of Venezuela. Largest one ever seized actually. And other things are happening."

I hope people understand that if Trump gets his way America will soon be part of the global axis of evil if we aren't already. You see it in the Caribbean, you see it in Ukraine, and you see it with Trump trying to buddy up to Xi. We are a malevolent force.

Oh come on! This truth should have been posted on a Sunday.
The sitting president posted a link on the social media platform that he owns to direct people to buy a book on a website owned by his son.

This sort of thing would’ve been considered a scandal in another era.

Based on the facts recounted by the Senator, the two do sound “shipwrecked” for LOAC purposes.

But they were never lawful targets in the first place even if LOAC applied.

And LOAC doesn’t apply because there is no armed conflict.

Term for premeditated killing outside of armed conflict is murder.

If we're not at war, Pete Hegseth is a murderer. If we are at war, Pete Hegseth is still a murderer. He's a murderer. And you don't need to go to The Hague to hold him accountable because there are perfectly good, American laws AGAINST MURDER.

Pete Hegseth Should Be Charged With Murder
No matter how you look at the strikes on alleged “drug boats”—as acts of war or attacks on civilians—Hegseth has committed a crime and should be prosecuted.

We are killing fishermen while pardoning drug lords. Anyone who tries to justify these killings is complicit in murder. Also, we are not in an authorized war with any country!
Sen. Roger Marshall defends Hegseth: "Look, we're losing 200 Americans every day to drug poisoning from these drug lords. This is a war. And it's ugly. War is never pretty ... that strike probably saved thousands of American lives."

The worst part about the boat strikes - regardless of who ordered what and besides the ultimate tragedy of lives lost - is they’re forever a stain on the dignity of the United States military.

That's why the military has the right to refuse illegal orders. Illegal orders could ruin the military.

We are not in an authorized war! These murders are crimes against humanity. Stop framing it the way this abhorrent administration does. We are not at war with Venezuela. Not yet anyway.
As former Bush OLC leader Jack Goldsmith writes, the DOD manual prohibits killing shipwrecked enemies. If reporting is correct, killing helpless men clinging to boats was a war crime.
