CVS is best thought of as a kind of interactive museum exhibit where you can experience everything that has gone badly wrong with American capitalism.
You almost have to respect how CVS keeps frantically changing their systems like every other month and each time it gets progressively worse

Dude, I would love it if my government had a dropbox where you could send your resume and they'd give you a job suitable to your skillset. I'm not even asking to smash the state or nuthin', just give me a way to apply to jobs without relying on random companies on the internet.

Listening to Sinatra, don't bother me. I'm gazing longingly out a window and sighing. This is busy work.

this is such a great encapsulation of why this race feels existential even to people outside NYC. Cuomo as the final boss of everything wrong with the current Democratic Party, Mamdani happily grabbing the third rails everyone’s told are too dangerous to touch (trans people, Muslims, socialism)
It's uncanny how Cuomo has been laser-focused at appealing to the absolute worst qualities in people - their insularity, their tribalism, and now their fear. A campaign monumental in its cynicism, a colossal bet by this man and his billionaire backers that people are basically bad.
This isn't a closing election argument, it's Vidkun Quisling explaining why surrender is better than resistance.

This is insane shit. Cops hate the people of Los Angeles and look for any excuse to injure people.
Cops going aggro on Sunset near Echo Park in LA after the Dodgers Win. Shooting people with less lethals from point blank range, horses running people and press down. Literally minutes before, fireworks in the street
