“He was just a super nice guy, a super capable nurse,” Dimitri Drekonja, a doctor who knew and worked alongside Pretti, told Zeteo. “And we are in a worse place for him being killed.”

UNREAL: Per NY Times amazing reporting today they found "Trump has used the office of the presidency to make at least $1.4 billion. We know this number to be an underestimate because some of his profits remain hidden from public view." We live in a 3rd world sh*thole! www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

This is the sixth death in ICE custody in 18 days. This isn’t enforcement, it’s a system that cages people, outsources care, and shrugs when they die. Abolish ICE.

I’m watching The Holiday today and I can’t stop thinking how bad of a dog parent Kate Winslet is.

With less than 24 hours notice she agrees to switch houses with a total stranger half way around the world leaving her dog behind to basically fend for itself.

In 2023 I became obsessed with videos of dads in cargo shortswaiting in parking lots during Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. So when she came to town, I grabbed a camera and headed down to talk to them. I thought it'd be funny. It turned out to be something else entirely.

If you bought anything expensive from Amazon for Xmas, check the prices again closer to the delivery date. We had one thing we ordered that went from $499 to $299 in the 10 days between ordering and delivery. We reordered at the lower price and Amazon cancelled the first order, saving us $200.

I find it weird that Claude self congratulates itself by starting each response with exclamations like “Excellent!” or “Perfect!”

Some future private equity AI bot: “Wonderful! 💰I’ve cut our healthcare benefit obligations by shifting all assets to a new corporation and declaring bankruptcy!”

I met Chris Mitchell at a bar one night. He was bragging to some gorgeous LA girls about doing shows at the Magic Castle. He started doing card tricks for them, and I announced that I could see a little string in his hand. He got very annoyed that I was magic-cock-blocking him. (1/4)

Facebook is so broken. I have a chrome extension that filters out ads and promoted posts. It's an ongoing arms race. Facebook makes changes to thwart the extension. The extension makes changes to catch up.

Today it caught up because of the 20 first posts in my feed, none were by friends:

I've learned a lot from listening to podcasts.

But reading books has changed my life, over and over again. Whether it's books about personal finance, nutrition, exercise, learning, memory or science: reading a book is an amazing way to transform your life.

Books have the power to save you.

The premise of "Douglas is Cancelled" is really crazy. The idea that a TV personality could be cancelled because of a joke, when we can't cancel people for statutory rape or human trafficking.

Maybe the plot thickens, I've only seen the first episode.
