Public Transit has a marketing problem in Canada. Not to customers (who love it) but to senior governments (who are apparently not even aware it exists). May I propose:

"Transit. It's like a pipeline, but for people!"

NEW: BCGov says a deer harvested east of Enderby may have Chronic Wasting Disease. Initial tests on the sample detected prions (abnormal proteins) which may indicate the presence of CWD.
So far, the only test-positive cases of CWD in the province are from the East Kootenay region.

Started out the day in Victoria with one meeting, ended up having great chats on Clearwater & area issues with Parl Sec Brittny Anderson, Minister Adrian Dix, & Minister Mike Farnworth.

Then did a long podcast chat with Fran Yanor of Northern Beat.

Very productive, but tired of talking.

New West, like Kamloops, is a city of hills. I fondly remember burning clutch trying to get up 6th fr Columbia.

Point being that E-mobility devices will dramatically increase equity in active transport - bike/walking paths etc. in ways that it won’t so much in flatter cities/towns. You need it.

Kamloops is having a Christmas market for the first time. I just learned it has an admission fee. Is this the norm?

Council Highlights Committee of the Whole November 18. Now Council is eyeing to reject the route expansion that BC Transit finally committed to. Their claims are the prov doesn't have money and will not fund it. Also using int'l student numbers ↘️as a reason to doubt the need for expansion. #Kamloops
