Authors beware: ClaimsHero is urging authors to opt out of the Anthropic settlement in order to file their own separate lawsuit. Except this outfit has no federal or state court experience with class-action suits. And the judge has called them a fraud.

We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

1st of my new Book Club meetings is Sunday. better reread the damn book (which annoyed the hell out of me, so I'm not eager to do that!). what I WANT is to read book #2 of a series I do like that was released yesterday, but it'll have to wait a day (yeah, I read that fast).

These are the folks I adopted Horrible Babby Kitten from! Like all rescues they do a LOT of unpaid and invisible work for local animals, so if you have even $5 it would be awesome if you could kick in!

Do you know how much CEO pay has skyrocketed since 1978?

100%? 500%?

Try 1,085%

Meanwhile, the $7.25/hr fed. minimum wage hasn't budged in 15 years and the tipped min. wage has been $2.13/hr since 1991.

This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.

I have heard rumors that it is possible to set an intention, a goal, if you will, then establish a process that leads to its manifestation, and finally follow those procedures until the goal has been reached. but in My Actual Life I see little evidence of it being true.

I will make sure every single person remembers that the same Republicans who did everything in their power to make tax breaks for billionaires PERMANENT refused to even negotiate ONE YEAR of health care tax credits for working families, at a tiny fraction of that cost.
