It's hard to figure out how Illinois Republicans keep losing here when they're running on such compelling ideas.

Society is a construct. You can just ask someone to make a cover for your fantasy novel and he'll quote his rate and you give it to him and then you have it.

Everyone, give @gruselzirkus.bsky.social your money!

and don't listen to you" then asked "so what would you do about it" and she said "feed the phones to crocodiles" so her platform has my full support

By requiring anything more than surface level interpretation to fully understand, like literally all fiction.

The X-Men will not return in my book, The Raven Knight. You don't need to worry about them showing up, you're safe. While it will also take you 7 or 8 hours to finish, you can pause my book at any time. And you can bring your own snacks.

His pardons are illegitimate. His appointments are illegitimate. His signing of laws is illegitimate. His orders are illegitimate. All of it.

Whatever de facto power he might have, it's all de jure null and void. The office of president of the United States is vacant. He is an illegitimate usurper.

I was 14 when the US invaded Iraq. I can’t overstate how dumb 14 year olds are in general, but it still was clear that the stated reasons were fake and the whole thing would be a disaster. I was confused why so many people were ignoring the obvious.

Anyway, shoutout to the 14 year olds of today.

Just woke up even angrier. Impeach, convict, remove. Draft articles now. Either we have a representative government or we don’t. Do not shut up about this until there’s a vote.

It is so hilarious how you leave an industry alone for maybe half a generation and the first thing it does is speedrun the same exact implosion that took it out last time.

Opinions rightly differ, but the Fourth Crusade is my favorite in this regard.
The thing about the Crusaders is that they were both evil and losers

This year's the year, guys.
Oh my goodness, this Wall Street Journal piece about Trump's ailing health that includes an interview with him (gift link). There are a number of ridiculous details in it and I'll put a few of them in this thread. (1/6)

We do in fact need a butlerian jihad against touchscreens, the worst collective decision the tech sector has ever made.
Amazingly, reaction times using screens while driving are worse than being drunk or high—no wonder 90 percent of drivers hate using touchscreens in cars. Finally the auto industry is coming to its senses.
