It's truly stunning (though unsurprising) how little attention national media give Gov. Walz's speeches and news conferences. He's out there declaring his state under siege, and it's not in headlines outside of MN. They'll cover Trump's lies about him endlessly-- but not his actions.

Building an identity around being the smartest person in the room might be a viable strategy to get through school (emphasis on might) but it’s a losing proposition once you get out into the world far enough to appreciate what you don’t know. That’s where smart action and smart identity diverge.

I think this is probably something they think will chill dissent but the number of people in Minneapolis that have basically responded to DHS occupation by saying “I’m willing to die for my cause, are you?” makes me think this will not work

Part of my job includes insuring services are available in very rural Iowa, and people really don't grasp how economically devestating shrinking populations are. It doesn't lead to ample and awesome jobs. We shouldn't be trying to create that nation wide.
