What can SEOs learn from smelly farts on a Monday?

* it's fine not having results for internal searches
* empty search results pages should return 404
* you can also just block internal search from indexing with robots.txt or noindex
I like this one.

Little tip - You can compare crawls of staging to a live website by using 'URL Mapping' in crawl comparison.

Equivalent URLs are then compared against each other to identify changes and issues between the crawls.

Big news. Looks like manual actions have been applied in Europe for site reputation abuse (at least for coupons). Laura Chiocciora provided some information on X this morning, and I just checked a number of sites I had documented. Yep, all seeing big drops starting yesterday into today. Deindexed.

In April of 2020, right in the thick of COVID's first onslaught, Naomi Wolf was getting pelters from me and others for saying that non-5G Belfast had the “calm” of the 1970s.

(This despite Belfast *having* 5G and the 70s not being the calmest of times for Belfast).

It was really... something.

Art should be funded like science. To properly fund art, you fund failure. Funding failure will give you occasional excellence. Creating any art with the aim of it being popular enough to make money, will give you consistent mediocrity. Arists need funding to play and fail because that's the process
Let me tell you about the weird business that delivers art into our lives, and the impact it has on the long-term careers of artists. This is a thread prompted by yet another article on authors' incomes, and the inevitable reactions from the 'people-would-pay-if-it-was-worth-it-to-them' brigade. 1/
