We use the word “Balkanization” because every time we split the balkans up into many tiny pieces, it’s a horrible mess and everything gets worse. Conversely, every time we consolidate the balkans into a greater political union…it’s a horrible mess and everything gets worse.

in a proper functioning democracy, every election would have a guy who wears the same red beret literally everywhere, to the point where nobody knows what he looks like without it. he should be referred to in the constitution as Hat Guy. if you ever poll below Hat Guy you must end your campaign

I love looking through the Wikipedia articles for common everyday items. I had to make a point today so I pulled up the Wikipedia page for “Tomato.” It was fascinating.
